Influence Meme

I tried putting the influences that I've had through-out my life on DA?
Yeah, they all inspire me, even if it doesn't show with my drawings.
Right. Be warned about the length of these comments.

1. Doctor Who. I love Doctor Who, and it really is the best of Britain even when it's at it's worst. My favourite TV show, and it has been since I first tuned into it in 2006. I'm a new-age Whovian, btw

2. My favourite DA artist, which is why they're so high up. You have no idea how much I fanattack when they update, and how much I watch their formspring like a hawk. Their comics never fail to make me laugh, as do their flash animations. They are simply brilliant.

3. Harry Potter The greatest childrens novels of our age, and an inspiration to all of us who dreamed of being magical. I grew up with Harry, Hermione, Ron, and all the other wonderful characters in JK's books, and they feel as real to me as anyone else in the world. The world, the fiction surrounding it, and all of the amazing characters have all inspired me greatly throughout my life.

4. Pokémon What child of the 90's didn't grow up with Pokémon coming out of their ears? A constant follower of the cartoons, films, manga and games; I was one of those kids who only got the newest Nintendo console in order to play the newest Pokémon game. I hope to continue to do so until I am very, very old.

5. BBC I have had hilarious times, incredibly sad times, bored times, and excited times with this one broadcaster. The comedy that came from BBC such as Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, and Red Dwarf, were as big a part of my pre-school education as my parents were. As a three year-old I was jumping around saying "I have a cunning plan!" and still, Blackadder makes me laugh. Doctor Who was also brought to me by BBC, as was such legendary Children's TV greats as Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow, which I still love to watch the clip-shows of, now. Yes, myself and the Beeb go WAY back, and I love them as much as any Brit. Their TV shows have been, and continue to be, an extremely large inspiration to me.

6. Deviantart Of course DA would be on here. The amount of new artists, and new styles, and new help that has enabled my own drawing skills to improve over the years has ALL come from DA. I love this site so much, and I have a lot to thank it for that I cannot possibly hope to squeeze into the Artist comments box with the rest of these influences. So, I shall leave it at this. I you, DA.

7. YouTube One of my most recent influences, but still a big one. Not only has it contributed to most of my laughing-so-hard-I-fall-off-my-chair moments, but I have been introduced to new things through the magic of YouTube, and new music, to top it off. 8. FanFiction From the age of 12 I have been reading fanfiction, though the stuff I read back then is nothing to be proud of Mary Sue's, if you're interested. Still, since then I have gone through many fandoms, pairings, of both heterosexual and - since 2008 - homosexual persuasion. The extract you see is, unfortunately, not available online any more but is one of my favourite Drarry (Draco/Harry) fanfics of all time. Underwater Light.

9. The reason I joined DA from Fanart-central.net, and one of my earliest internet-based art inspirations.

10. I love her. I love her original art comics, her older fanart, and I just love her style.

11. I love South Park. In my opinion? Best cartoon ever. I won't go into it; it's late, and I'm tired.

12. Steampunk. Fuck, yeah.

13. Nature, and landscape/skyscape/waterscape/cityscape photography. Just check the 'scapes folder in my favourites.
